The former Senior Vice President and Global head of Medicines Development of GSK Dr Allan Baxter has joined Ascletis as its Chief Strategy Officer.
Dr Baxter has been an advisor for Ascletis since it was formed and joins the company after a 30-year career at GSK.
Jinzi J. Wu, Ascletis President and CEO, described Dr Baxter as the “ideal person to lead Ascletis’ discovery and development strategy”
Ascletis is a joint venture between US and Chinese entrepreneurs aimed at creating a global specialty therapeutics business dedicated to discovering and developing important new treatments for cancer and infectious diseases.
“I look forward to working with the Ascletis team to build the company’s discovery and development pipeline in the areas of cancer and infectious diseases,” Dr Baxter said.
