Takeda has promoted Trevor Smith to the role of Chief Executive Officer, Takeda Pharmaceuticals Europe Limited (TPEU).
Smith will succeed Dr Erich Brunn (pictured), who is to retire. Brunn joined the company in 2001 as President of Takeda Pharma GmbH in Germany.

His experience of the pharmaceutical industry spans 30 years and also includes various director-level roles at Servier Laboratories.
“I am confident that Trevor’s deep experience with Takeda and the pharmaceutical industry will serve him well as the leader of Takeda’s extensive European commercial organisation,” said Frank Morich, Executive Vice President, International Operations (Americas/Europe), Takeda Pharmaceuticals International, Inc.
“With Trevor’s leadership and guidance, our European businesses will align their commercial strategies to ensure Takeda’s continued growth and evolution in the region.”
