Sanofi has made two senior executive appointments.
Current President and CEO of Sanofi’s US operations Greg Irace has been appointed to the newly created role of Senior Vice President, Global Services.
Jérôme Contamine, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Sanofi, says the “dedication and the leadership” Mr Irace has shown in his former roles at the company will provide great success in the future.
The integration of Genzyme and Merial has given Sanofi the opportunity to create a shared platform of support function to support its five North America businesses.
As a result, Anne Whitaker will take the role of President, North America, Pharmaceuticals.
She will join on 1st September from GSK, where she was Senior Vice President and Business Unit Head, Cardiovascular, Metabolic and Urology, since 2009.
Hanspeter Spek, President, Global Operations, Sanofi, says the “knowledge and experience” of the new President makes her “ideally suited to drive the renewed growth of our pharmaceutical operations in North America”.
