The Pf Awards is delighted to announce Parkinson’s UK as its official charity partner for 2025 and 2026.
As a trusted benchmark of pharma’s top performers, the Pf Awards reflects the evolution of the industry, with categories that focus on current working practices, innovation and forward thinking.
The extended partnership with Parkinson’s UK, which began in 2024, reflects the drive to demonstrate that the patient is at the heart of every effort a Pf Award winner puts into their daily work.
Why Parkinson’s UK?
Parkinson’s UK is the largest European charitable funder of Parkinson’s research investing over £120m to date. Driven by people with Parkinson’s, scientists and supporters, fundraisers and families, carers and clinicians, the charity works to improve lives and find a cure.
The Parkinson’s Virtual Biotech is the charity’s international drug discovery and development programme, which strives to deliver a new Parkinson’s treatment in years not decades. Since 2017 it has grown into a global movement uniting scientists, supporters, investors and innovators worldwide, including a long term multi-million dollar strategic partnership with the Parkinson’s Foundation announced in 2022.
Parkinson’s UK has already committed over £30 million in projects from early-stage research to world-first phase II clinical trials of groundbreaking new treatments. Parkinson’s UK is aiming to invest a further £20 million across grants and drug discovery work by 2026.
Every penny donated to the Parkinson’s Virtual Biotech can drive further investment and, by providing early funding and expertise, can successfully fast track projects through the research pipeline, ready for major investors to back.
How the Pf Awards is helping
Building on the partnership from 2024, the prestigious Pf Awards ceremony, held in London on 6 March 2025, will include a silent auction held to raise vital funds for Parkinson’s UK. With incredible prizes on offer, all money raised by generous guests will go directly to Parkinson’s UK.
Gary Shaughnessy CBE, Chair of the Board of Trustees, said: “We were honoured to be the charity partner for this year’s Pf Awards and thoroughly enjoyed the event. The generous donations and support have gone directly to our pioneering research programme, bringing us closer to finding a cure.
“We are incredibly grateful for this ongoing partnership, and we look forward to joining the event again in 2025 and 2026. Our collaboration is built on a shared commitment to advancing healthcare and innovation. Pf Awards’ continued support is vital in pushing Parkinson’s research forward and helping us move closer to new treatments.”
Hazel Lodge, Director of Brand Strategy at Uniphar Commercial and The Studio, which organises the Pf Awards, said: “The Pf Awards honour outstanding achievements in the pharmaceutical industry, we strive for excellence and innovation which make a real difference to patients. Partnering with Parkinson’s UK through the event allows us to directly impact research and development to help find new treatments. Parkinson’s UK does incredibly important work; funding research and fighting for fair treatment and better services, and we are proud to announce them as our official charity partner for the next two years.”
