CEO quits after five months

Olivier Bohuon is to leave his position of CEO at Pierre Fabre after just five months.

He will officially leave the company in April to join Smith & Nephew as CEO following David Illingworth’s retirement later this year.

John Buchanan, Chairman, Smith & Nephew, says the company is “delighted” to appoint somebody of the “calibre” of Olivier and his “global experience in healthcare” will take the company forward.

Before joining Pierre Fabre, Bohuon served as Executive Vice President of Abbott and was also President of its pharmaceutical division. Prior to that, he also spent more than decade at GlaxoSmithKline as Senior Vice President for European Commercial Operations, Pharmaceuticals.
